Where in the world are you based? Where is the most exciting location you have shot at?

New Braunfels, Texas, USA / so far, probably on the beach in Playa Del Carmen

When did you set up your photography business and what genres of photography do you shoot?

2017, I mainly do weddings and families nowadays. In my personal life, I love photographing landscapes and lifestyle images of my family.

What would you say has been your most memorable photography job and why?

Going back to the wedding in Mexico, it was actually my very first solo wedding (no pressure 🤣) and I was so nervous I overshot all day….and my card filled up on the first kiss! Luckily I did it for next to nothing so we could have a honeymoon, but it was crazy, so much fun, and started me down the path of loving weddings.

What is your all time favourite photograph you have taken and why?

My hero image with a pallet moon (which won a Silver). All the bride said was she wanted a picture with this cool pallet moon on the property, but this was the first time I had something in my head almost right away, executed it, and it ended up almost exactly how I wanted it to.

Reveal one thing you keep in your camera bag that people may not expect to be there. Why is it there?

High fidelity ear plugs. I love dancing at receptions, but I get so overstimulated and I’m also trying to keep my hearing as long as possible!

What is the biggest reason you like using off camera flash?

The COLORS and the way you can take a bland space and make it look almost magical.

What is the best part/biggest benefit of being a Flash Masters member?

The wonderful people I’ve been inspired by and all the education, I’m constantly wowed in this group.

If you could give one piece of advice to anyone starting out on their flash photography journey, what would it be?

It’s a lot of “f*** around and find out”. Working out the issues helps set you up for success the next time, even if it doesn’t quite pan out how you intended.
