Shooting in harsh midday light can be one of the hardest things which we have to do, especially if we are wedding photographers when we have little control over the timing of a portrait shoot or where it takes place. In this tutorial, the amazingly talented Moira and Jesse La Plant very kindly share the steps they use to create beautiful off camera flash portraits even when the light is at it's harshest.
Moira and Jesse are the perfect wedding photography team to talk us through this subject as not only are they world renowned photography educators who have also won countless awards but they are also based in Colorado, which as you will learn in this tutorial has 300 days of sunshine a year!

Jesse La
Jesse and Moira La Plante are Colorado-based photographers who have been shooting weddings since 2008. They first met in the Bahamas on spring break when Jesse (allegedly) offered to buy Moira a drink at an all-inclusive resort. Shortly after that fateful trip, the pair moved to Colorado, and started the wedding photography business they swore they'd never have.
